SOG Specialty Knives Tools S66-N PowerAssist Multitool with Power Assist Blades for sale
I was really excited to open up the SOG box and pull this little gem out, snug in its' web case. It comes with a fairly sharp primary blade, and the smoothness of the opening and closing of the pliers is beyond comparison. I gave it only three stars because: #1. the spring assist on the primary blade is just a tad weaker than the spring assist on the serrated blade. Slight, but noticable. I am sure SOG would correct it, if I cared to part with it while it was in for repair. Minus one star. #2. No saw. I mean, really! What were they thinking? But a SOG tool can be fully customized with the tools you wish. But once again, I can't part with it that long. Minus another star. But seriously, I carry a 6-in-1 scewdriver and most of the rest of those tools in my EDC. It is the JAWS that I wanted. So precise and acute. And even Leatherman can't touch the power, smoothness or friendly operation of the SOG Power Assist pliers. I would have otherwise gotten the Charge TTI. But you can't beat SOG on pliers, with more than twice the squeezing strength of ALL of the others. It can cut a nickel in half. I am very happy with this purchase.

SOG Specialty Knives Tools B66-N Power Assist Knife Black Oxide for sale
SOG Specialty Knives Tools B66-N Power Assist Knife Black Oxide for sale
I purchased vid a gift for my father and that i own identical tool inside plain stainless steel finish. It's actually a great multi-tool. Super durable and plain beefy. When searching for an easy little pocketknife/tool this probably isn't it. What about a Leatherman Squirt or possibly a SOG Paratool. The black finish is in reality a lot nicer compared to chromium steel since it doesn't show fingerprints as badly. I've found this tool has replaced my daily carry pocketknife (a SOG Flash II) for a couple of reasons. First, the set of assisted blades. Having a quick choice involving the straight or serrated blades rather than having inside one blade is a useful one. Another thing is that carrying a multi-tool rather than a dedicated pocketknife is often less intimidating to folks inside general public. While i pull out the Flash II people's eyes have a tendency to widen somewhat and in addition they make snarky comments. The PowerAssist blends right in as yet another tool for most of us as well as the only raised eyes and comments have been from folks admiring the fact.
The fold-out tools are of the same super premium quality and the locking mechanism is useful. I also appreciate the V-Cutter for cutting paracord, straps, etc. I wish there is a more elegant method to operate the little cover that explains the knowhow, however it serves it's purpose well in allowing a very comfortable grip within the pliers.
It bakes an awesome gift. My father received his and called me in a few minutes of opening to speak about how nice it had been and ways in which he'd probably never need another multi-tool again. It will definitely be appreciated by those who are handy, or who focus on machines for a job. Although, what my father mentioned was which he wasn't sure when although ever require the blasting cap crimper, but hey, ya can't win 'em all. :)
Great tool, 5 stars, you will not be sorry that you just purchased this tool and the price on Amazon pretty much is not beat.

Gerber 07550 Needlenose Multi-Plier 600 Black for sale
Gerber 07550 Needlenose Multi-Plier 600 Black for sale
I purchased this because the gerbers we get issued whenever we fall over seas possess the carbide cutter inserts rather than the typical cutters. this version, has all alike tools, but an ordinary group of cutters, which work amazing, i used to be capable to cut a penny in two without problems. the carbide cutters broke as of this attempt. It's got each of the tools we need to be a soldier and it has done very nicely to me, the pliers deploy with a nice snap, one handed as advertised, the tools all appear very smoothly as well as the locking mechanism is extremely strong and simple to work with, the knife blade serves it purpose and slices perfectly, although not razor sharp at first, that has a almost no level of sharpening on my lansky sharpening system it now cuts just like a razor (25 degrees) the other tools work very nicely, ive used the can opener considerably and it works wonderful. the file, although not the top in existence is effective. the serrated blade isnt that sharp and kinda sucks...they must have switched it for a saw blade. the sheath it arrives with is quite superiority many people feel, i favor it alot much better than the acu sheath i was issued. the pliar head is larger than the majority of multitools and opens very wide. yeah the handles come closer together than other tools, but this is alooot better when employed in tight spaces because i could obtain a better grip on nuts or wires, and that i have never had any risk with it pinching my hands as others have were not impressed with. they certainly kinda wobble if not fully closed, when that you are gripping something they're very tight and strong, much better than the leatherman wave i did before own, since they were kinda small , the handles were very wide spaced when gripping something, it made it difficult to use a tight grip. Personally , i such as the way gerber 600s feel when you use them, i never once felt so it would definitely fail me. leathermans are fantastic multitools dont get me wrong, when you are from the army and making use of much different tools i am that the 600's are better for my tastes and have the desired effect beside me, if not superior to the wave. there was one pull back while i got this, I had created bought the part kit for my wave and that was awesome, a wide variety of screw drivers to work with...and also the gerber bit kit to the 600 would not offer several different screwdrivers, and so i went and bought the part adapter with the leatherman supertool 300 (which makes all of the screw drivers utilized in the wave bit kit usable for that supertool 300) and what happens? It truly does work While using MP 600 AS WELL!!!!!!! You recently slide the bit adapter on the 600's philips head plus it fits just fine! problem solved. :) this is the great tool and will also be beneficial, find the one devoid of the carbide cutters!!!
