FLEXCUT Carving Kit - 4 Piece for sale
This wood-carving knife set can be quite nice. In my ballet shoes
within a age, they came out of this area with adequate edges.
I am hard to please in this field, but these blades cut precisely
and have a good volume of force without worries.
The carrying pouch is very good, the handles fit snugly inside the
pockets and come loose while carrying it.
The most popular from the set for general carving work is the larger
Pelican knife, the mini-Pelican is wonderful for tiny stuff too.
The Cutting blade is quite strong using a straight edge, it really works
well for carrying off volume quickly. The Detail knife is usually
straightedge, but with a thinner spine which can be best for getting
around/behind other details.
The handles all fit my hands well, and depending which argument or
direction the cut goes I find they work nicely in either hand.
These materials are so sharp I wouldn't touch them with no
kevlar gloves on.
I purchased these knives while i began woodcarving years back as it appeared like an excellent value. As I ventured into woodcarving further and began meeting other woodcarvers, I found out the particular knives are 2nd or 3rd tier quality. After using Denny and Helvie knives, I never went back to using Flexcut knives. A highly skilled woodcarver will show you that a majority of with the frustration that a beginner experiences is caused by the standard of the equipment. Purchase the best tools you can afford. These knives tend not to hold an edge and also you take more time sharpening than carving. I didnrrrt like the bevel angle on these knives too. The angle of the bevel is just too big wide for some woodcarvers. You can quickly find out that a hands will fatigue sooner since it requires more strength to slice into wood using these tools. The one knife that we found of worth in this set was the bench knife. I exploit this knife for relief carving however it is useless for carving inside the round. Before you buy these knives, An excellent opportunity trying other knives and compare them before investing your money in this set.
