The first I ordered broke within the second day I did it - the bottle opener cracked in two after opening two bottles. Not too encouraging. I contacted Leatherman, thinking their customer service could be a lot better than Amazon, understanding that they'd want to know concerning the defect inside product. Probably not. I received a quick answer the issue that I could ship it back to them at my expense, then wait a month or more for repair or replacement.
Amazon to save the day - my first exposure to their customer service, and it also was great. After submitting the internet return form, they immediately shipped a better overnight, and provided returning label will be able to ship the broken tool back at their expense. Excellent - even easier than returning something to a local store.
I've place the replacement (for example the bottle opener!) through the paces without the need of problems - chalk it down with a random defect. Design of this tool is very useful: small enough to handle inside a pocket with many with the useful accessories within the bigger Leathermans. I propose it - just don't open your bottles too vigorously!
