I prefer this tape on a regular basis for measuring houses for insulation. The spring is sufficiently strong that will put the total 40' of tape the government financial aid without any problems. The standout of approx. 12 feet helps much when you need to "grab" the sting of the board that is out of reach. The blade coating stands up adequately. I only wish there were a mechanism that will "clean" the tape as it goes into the entire body. Moisture and also small debris can be a hassle whether or not this retracts back through dirt or moisture. Overall it is a great tapeline. I next one will be the same.
Revision: After employing this 4 months the tape is broken in several places and also the end finally broke off for the 2" mark. Let me attempt contact with Stanley to view when there is something they could do since this tape broke so quickly.
