Columbia River Knife and Tool M16-14ZSF Zytel Desert Special Forces Big Dog Tanto-Style Blade with Combo Edge for sale
I really like this knife. Like several CRKT knives (I own several) the planning and construction are first-rate. Opens easily, locks securely, cuts perfectly. The one believe that I deducted one star is: I need to this knife for pocket-carry. Should you be thinking about doing a similar, you should know two things.
1) CRKT clearly are convinced that this knife shouldn't be taken for "tip-up in-pocket carry". That is true, but I might bring that it needs to also not be useful for tip-down pocket carry either. I thought which i could make it this way, and yes it soon corrected my faulty reasoning by coming slightly open around my pocket and spearing my fingertip as I was pulling my keys in the same pocket. I really believe sixty brought on by both "Carson flippers" that make up the hilt finger-guards if the blade is open. These also protrude if your blade is closed, and can be caused to maneuver by pressing contrary to the side on the pocket or against you/arm if you put you in or are pulling it out. It doesn't take much pressure on top with the flipper to slip the tip in the knife out from the handle.
2) A lot less important, the knife is large, no less than for typical jeans front-pockets. We have pants with front pockets which are wider than that, along with the knife just isn't a bother in them. I am about to acquire one of the knife's smaller brothers devoid of the dual flippers for pocket carry.
This knife is absolutely better suited for belt-carry, I do think. Anyway, that's my two cents.
